Lamb & Rice

Ayurveda considers all food as medicine including meat. Like all food, animals are sacred and what is most important is to eat the highest quality meat like organic and grass-fed. Lamb is one of most strength-building of all animal meats and can be useful to restore and build tissue. Sometimes, people have difficulty digesting meat because they have low levels of stomach acids. The use of pesticides and added chemicals in modern food weaken the lining of the gut. Meat actually helps to build stomach acids to normal levels. It may be useful to take digestive stimulants like bitter herbs or pungent spices or HCL supplements. Being able to properly digest good proteins and fats can help the body feel stable enough to curb cravings for too much sugar and processed food.

2 lb grass-fed lamb meat
3/4 cup basmati rice
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp rosemary
